The main objective of the Organization’s activities

To implement the obligations of manufacturers and importers of taxable products (tires) related to waste management, as provided for in European Union legislation, laws of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts.

To coordinate the registration of the Organization’s members in the register of producers and importers in accordance with the procedure established by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and its authorized institutions;
To conclude agreements with collectors of taxable products (tyres) waste selected by the Organization in accordance with the procedure established by the Minister of the Environment for the collection, transportation, preparation for use of taxable products (tyres) waste, and with users (recyclers) and (or) exporters of taxable products (tyres) waste for the use of collected taxable products (tyres). These agreements must provide for the procedure for payment for the collection, transportation, preparation for use, use (recycling) of taxable products waste and the procedure for monitoring the implementation of contractual obligations.
To coordinate the implementation of the tasks for the management of taxable products (tyres) waste set for producers and importers by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and its authorized institutions;
To organize the management of waste from taxable products (tires) of the Organization’s assignees in such a way that the tasks of waste management of taxable products (tires) set for the Organization’s members are fulfilled: to organize the collection of waste from taxable products (tires) from distribution points of taxable products (tires), companies providing technical maintenance and repair services for vehicles and the transfer of this waste to a waste manager entitled to manage such waste; to submit reports on the implementation of the plans for the organization of waste management of taxable products (tires) to the institutions authorized by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania in accordance with the procedure established by the Minister of the Environment;
To prepare and coordinate the plans for the management of waste from taxable products (tires) in order to obtain a license for the organisation of waste management of taxable products (tires), which must set out measures and actions that ensure the fulfilment of the tasks of waste management of taxable products (tires) of the Organisation’s assignees;
To prepare and coordinate a financing scheme for the organisation of waste management of taxable products (tires), ensuring that the management of taxable products (tires) waste will be financed;
To prepare a public education and information plan for the management of taxable products (tires);
To create a system for the management of taxable products (tires), ensuring that waste from taxable products (tires) is collected and managed;
To develop and implement additional systems for the collection of taxable products (tires) waste in municipalities;
To provide consultations and methodological assistance to the Organisation’s assignees and all manufacturers and importers of taxable products (tires);
To organise training, seminars, consultations and provide relevant information on the management of taxable products (tires);
Based on the principles of mutual, economic benefit, to seek active cooperation between the Organisation’s assignees and all interested public;
To organise seminars, forums, conferences and educational campaigns for the public on issues of waste management of taxable products (tires);
To organise publishing and information activities, to create and distribute periodic and one-off various informational and methodological publications about the activities of the Organisation or its members, the importance and possibilities of End-of-Life tires management.
